C.J. Mozzochi, Ph.D. is authorized by The National Guild of Hypnotists to train and certify individuals, who desire to become Certified Consulting Hypnotists. He has more than 45 years of experience in the field of hypnotherapy. The certification course will enable each student to effectively use all of the necessary hypnosis techniques to help their clients. The NGH is the world's largest and most prestigious hypnosis certifying organization with 12,000 members in 72 countries. The NGH certifies hypnotherapists and hypnosis instructors, provides continuing education, maintains a bookstore and resource center, provides liability insurance programs and enforces a Code of Ethics and Practice. Additionally, the NGH holds an annual educational conference each August with over 250 hypnotherapy presentations and some 1,600 people attending. The conference itself occurs on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday with many one-hour courses, some two-hour courses and several three-hour courses. But on the Monday through Thursday before the convention and the Monday through Wednesday after the convention there are one-day, two-day, three-day and some seven-day courses. All NGH courses are very high level, and the instruction is first-rate by recognized experts There are also NGH sponsored legal advocates, who represent the interests of Guild members in state legislatures. In addition to legislative support the NGH is very highly supportive of its members, with a comprehensive bookstore, a lending library of DVD's, audio CD's and tapes, referrals, regular local chapter meetings, and much more. The 100-hour course (60 hours of classroom instruction, 40 hours of homework) is spread over 10 weeks so that the concepts and techniques can be thoroughly integrated and mastered by the student. There is extensive, supervised hands-on practice, from day one. Here is a comprehensive overview of the material covered in the course: suggestibility and suggestibility tests, the eye-roll sign for hypnotizability, the hypnotic induction profile, well-formed outcomes and posthypnotic suggestions, classification of subjects, influences, dangers and misconceptions of hypnosis, the history of hypnosis from Mesmer to the present (with emphasis on the present), the conscious, subconscious, unconscious and superconscious minds, the various critical factors, morphic resonance and morphic fields, the collective unconscious, waking hypnosis, demonstrations and discussions of many different induction techniques, induction scripts, how and when to use the different induction techniques, rapid inductions, non verbal inductions, the different depth stages of hypnosis and what can be expected at each one and how to access them and how to test for them, numerous deepening techniques, several methods of self-hypnosis, behavioral assessment, hypnosis attached to sleep, hypnosis techniques to deal with habits, phobias, fears, memory recall, self-esteem, glove anesthesia, pain management, stress management, smoking termination, weight loss, test anxiety, rapport building, safe place imagery, age regression, age progression, past life regression, life between lives regression, the informed soul technique, parts therapy, subliminal reading, automatic writing, sports performance enhancement, the Esdaile state, the ultra depth state, the ultra height state, hyperempiria, hypnobirthing, tighter band hypnosis weight management, addiction therapy, sexual response improvement, mechanical devices, the brain wave synchronizer, ethics for professionals, the Client's Bill of Rights, business and marketing strategies to build a successful practice, liability and legal issues, and other topics as time permits. More than one-hundred research papers, articles, CD's, DVD's and other supplemental materials are presented to the student throughout the course. Who should take this course? The tuition (as recommended by the NGH) is $2,995.00 plus $185.00 for course material and a one-year membership in the NGH (that membership alone presently costs $130 each year). The course material consists of several DVD's, two large workbooks, the book: Master Course in Hypnotism by Harry Arons, the book: Hypnotic Recollections by Dwight F. Damon, a marketing kit, a set of scripts, some miscellaneous publications, and a personal pendulum. Each student upon successful completion of the 100 hours of professional training and upon passing the final examination will receive an attractive certificate as a Certified Consulting Hypnotist of the NGH. The Hypnosis Research Institute (founded in 1979) has a library of more than 1,500 books and journals and more than 500 DVD's, CD's, cassette tapes and VHS tapes. All of this material is related to hypnosis, and throughout the course, the student is shown most of the important books on each subject covered in the course. At the conclusion of the course the student will be on the frontier of several very active research areas in hypnosis and will be very familiar with all of the important hypnotists since 1950 and their work, in particular, but not limited to, Arons, Banyan, Boyne, Bryan, DeMarco, Elman, Eslinger, Hunter, McGill and Spiegel. Additionally, the student will be very well prepared to immediately open a hypnosis practice.
